Tulsa Health Department To Begin Administering Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines To 12-15-Year-Olds

The Tulsa Health Department will start administering Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine to 12 to 15-year-olds on Thursday.

The Centers for Disease Control gave its approval Wednesday for emergency use authorization. Pfizer is now the first manufacturer to receive approval of its vaccine for younger Americans.

The Tulsa Health Department hopes the decision will prevent more infections, hospitalization, and deaths in Tulsa County. Starting Thursday, parents can make an appointment for their child to receive the vaccine at four of THD's locations. The locations include:

  1. James O. Goodwin Health Center | 5051 S. 129 E. Ave., Tulsa, OK
  2. Central Regional Health Center | 315 S. Utica, Tulsa, OK
  3. North Regional Health and Wellness Center | 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tulsa OK
  4. Sand Springs Health Center | 306 E. Broadway, Sand Springs, OK

Teenagers 17-and-under must have a parent with them to get the vaccine. Appointments can be made by going to vaccinate918.com or by Clicking Here.

Walk-ins for 12 to 15-year-olds will also be accepted starting Thursday at the Community Vaccination Center, which is located at TCC's Northeast Campus.
