2 School Buses Catch Fire After Crash On Turner Turnpike In Oklahoma County

One person was injured after two school buses caught fire following a crash Thursday morning on the Turner Turnpike in Oklahoma County.

The crash happened on the Turner Turnpike westbound between North Hiwassee and North Luther roads.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the drivers were the only ones inside of the buses at the time of the crash.

A staff member with Commerce Public Schools was injured in the crash, according to the district.

The district said four buses and a suburban were being transported for annual inspections in Oklahoma City when the crash happened.
