Turkey Mountain In First Phase Of Renovation Project

The work to fix up the trails at Turkey Mountain is about 10% done.

The work is still in the first phase of a project that will renovate 20 miles of trails, across the mountain.

The new trails will be dirt, but wider, with better signage and better access for small rescue vehicles.

"What we're going for is a combination of these new trails that are accessible to all while leaving the highly complex technical trails that some people really enjoy," said Ryan Howell, River Parks.

Some trails at Turkey Mountain are open while the work continues.

Another three-mile section of rebuilt trail will be open in six weeks.
