Missing Man's Body Found In Tulsa Storm Drain

Tulsa Police closed a missing person case after a man was found dead in a storm drain at 71st and Olympia. That's just off Highway 75 in south Tulsa.

The recovery efforts began around 12:45 p.m. Friday.

Police said the man went missing several weeks ago. He was found in the same area where he had last been seen in November, police said.

A detective working on the man's case came out to look around. That's when he noticed the storm drain, but it was too dark to see inside.

Police had the public works department come out, and that's when they found the man's body.

It took emergency crews a couple of hours to recover the man's body. The fire department used a rope and pulley system.

The man's family has been helping officers try to find him, so they were also out at the scene with detectives.

Police said they don't suspect foul play.
