Caught on Camera: Window Of Claremore Non-Profit Shot Out

Hope Harbor, a Claremore non-profit is vandalized after some of their windows are shot out and a lot of it is all caught on camera.

Video surveillance inside of Hope Harbor shows a car driving by outside just seconds later windows are shattered.

"Drove though used what the Sheriff thinks is a BB gun and blew out several of the office windows this main window and then some more office windows on down the building," said Jennifer Bristow, Director of Clinical Services at Hope Harbor.

And although no one was inside early this morning Clinical Services Director Jennifer Bristow said the vandalism is affecting some of their clients.

"Several of our kids have talked about feeling very scared," said Bristow.

Hope Harbor works with parents and children who have been through tough situations.

"We're going to waste a bunch of money fixing something that was just unnecessary and every dollar that we spend on this is a dollar that we are not spending on directly helping someone," said Bristow.

Hope Harbor has resources from housing to counseling and even an on-site school. They don't turn anyone away.

"Children who have experienced abuse, children that have experienced family disruption that are maybe failing in school, maybe they've just seen a lot of bad things," said Bristow.

Bristow said they are already working to enhance their security and hopes whoever shot out the windows will make better choices in the future and will think twice before doing something harmful.

"I'm really sad for you and really just sad because this is a really poor choice this is going to catch up with you and it's just not gonna be a good thing in terms of what happens next in your life," said Bristow.

If you know anything about the vandalism contact the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.
