Grandmother, Teen Wounded In McAlester Double Shooting

McAlester Police are investigating a double shooting.  They have questioned a person of interest but have not arrested him.

Two people were shot Tuesday afternoon at a home on Edgewood Drive, police said. The victims are a 67-year-old woman and her teenage grandson.

Police say they went through emergency surgery and are expected to survive.

McAlester Police said they questioned a person of interest. His family turned him in Wednesday morning at the Carl Albert Mental Health Center in McAlester.

After questioning him, police said no arrest has been made at this point. Investigators are going to turn their findings over to the Pittsburg County District Attorney's Office.
