Pair Arrested After Stealing $4,000 Guitar From Tulsa Store

Police arrest two people for stealing a $4,000 guitar Thursday afternoon.

Employees at The Music Store in the 9100 block of East 31st Street say Jacob Slayton threatened them with a knife when they confronted him about the theft.

Police say Slayton then tried to run over the employees in the parking lot as he drove off. They say an employee broke a window in Slayton's car during an altercation outside the store.

Officers spotted Slayton's car at a glass repair business on East Admiral Place about an hour and a half later and arrested Slayton and Merissa Lawhead-Slayton.

Police recovered the stolen guitar and booked the couple into the Tulsa County jail.
