Tulsa Public Schools has announced name changes to two of its elementary schools.

Jackson Elementary will become “Unity Learning Academy.”

Robert E. Lee Elementary will drop the “Robert E.” from the name and become simply “Lee Elementary.”

The changes are due to a perceived controversial history concerning their namesakes.
