Sylvia Corkill joined the News 9 team in October of 2016 and currently anchors the weekend evening shows, while reporting Monday through Wednesday on crime and other important topics. .

A proud Okie from Lawton, Sylvia brings years of experience from her time at KSWO, where she worked her way up to evening anchor and developed a passion for investigative reporting, particularly in the areas of crime and law enforcement.

She has covered major trials and drug busts, and even participated in a national manhunt investigation.

Sylvia is a graduate of Cameron University, where she majored in Radio/TV and minored in Public Relations.

Outside of work, she serves on the board of Lawton Crime Stoppers and enjoys spending time with her family, fiancé, and her bull terrier, Trip.
