The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released details of a Saturday morning accident that sent one man to the hospital.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. along near Old Taft Road and County Road 114th in Muskogee County.

Investigators said the man was traveling westbound on the county road when he departed the roadway to the right, overcorrected and departed the roadway to the left. Troopers said the sudden movements caused the vehicle to overturn twice before resting on its top.

The driver, identified as 52-year-old Johnny Miles, was transported to St. John's Hospital with multiple injuries. He is listed in critical condition.

OHP said the collision was caused by Miles' traveling at an "unsafe speed on curve/turn."

Miles was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
