Man Already Charged With Murder In Multiple Shootings Faces New Charges

A Tulsa man already facing a possible death sentence for murder now has new charges from inside the Tulsa County Jail.

Prosecutors said Ondriel Smith had both marijuana and meth inside his cell. They said on two occasions, he also threatened detention officers for taking away his drugs and after another inmate threw urine on a guard.

Smith is charged with killing two brothers outside a Tulsa shopping center in September of 2018. Investigators said the victims were killed as they checked out a suspicious vehicle for their employees.

Smith is awaiting trial in that case. The district attorney is asking for the death penalty if Smith is convicted.

He is additionally charged with shooting two people outside of the Incredible Pizza Company less than a week later. Detectives said they think that was a drug deal that went wrong. Smith is awaiting trial in that case as well.
