Bernie Sanders Set To Speak At 2 Events In Oklahoma

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is set to hold a campaign rally in Oklahoma next weekend. 

This will be Sanders's first visit to Oklahoma of the 2020 campaign. 

The rally will take place Sunday, September 22 at Reaves Park in Norman. It is a free event and open to the public. However, organizers say space is limited. 

Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The rally begins at 3 p.m.

The campaign added another stop in Oklahoma.

After his rally in Norman, Sanders is set to speak at the 28th Annual Comanche Nation Fair Powwow at the Comanche Nation Complex, 584 NW Bingo Road in Lawton.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Sanders, 78, won Oklahoma during the 2016 Democratic primary against the eventual Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. 

The 2020 Democratic race for the nomination is a heavily contested one with about 20 candidates running including Sanders, an Independent.
