First Baptist Church -- 424 S Detroit (Downtown Tulsa) -- has contacted the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. Currently, only officially trained personnel are being allowed into the Joplin area. Joplin emergency workers are still in a search and rescue mode, though the first Oklahoma Chainsaw Crew was dispatched this morning to begin clean up.
We have the opportunity to contribute to the relief efforts. The following specific items are most needed in the next 72 hours:
--Bottled water (16-20oz)
--Snacks: trail mix, nuts, etc. (in packages)
--Fruit: oranges are the best (they are tough and have a peel)
--Handiwipes in travel-size packs (fit in a back pocket; can be used by workers and victims to remove dirt and bacteria)
The 1st floor of the Detroit Tower is the drop-off point for these items. Pull through to the end of the circle drive to drop ...

So it's Valentine's Day or Single's Awareness Day depending on how you look at life. Either way, a stupid amount of gifts will be bought for loved ones (didn't we JUST have Christmas?) and there's a new list at www.everythingvalentinesday.com authored by "women" on the HOT NEW V-Day gifts....
- An iPod - Really? Apparently V-Day is also 'Time Travel Day' where we all go back to 2001 and wish for the future.

From a guy who's mom had a stroke, this is super scary to watch. BUT, the brightside is educating the public on warning signs of a stroke.
