Love Salads? Beware frans
Eating salads is a great way to get nutrients, stay healthy, and even keep off a few pounds (stay away from the ranch dressing)... but now we know its also the quickest way to food poisoning. YIKES!
A new govt study shows that while meat bourne bacteria is more likely to kill, its the plant based ones that will get you sick more often. The main culrpits: Lettuce, Kale, Broccolli...and other leafy greens.
While the study does stress that most meals are safe... let this serve as a reminder to WASH EVERYTHING you are going to eat. This is especially true for fruits and vegatables which we typically eat raw.
