D.C. Makes It Legal...

Posted 3/10/2010 6:02:00 AM
Gay marriage continues to be a hot-button issue for many Americans. Whenever it's legalized (or banned) anywhere in the world, searches immediately soar. In Washington, D.C., gay marriage was recently legalized, sparking tremendous Web interest.

A lesbian couple who had been together for 12 years became the first same-sex couple to be married in the nation's capital. With the couple's union, Washington, D.C. joined New Hampshire, Vermont, Iowa, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, as the only places in the United States that allow people of the same sex to legally marry.
I want to hear from YOU!!!
Do you think gay marriage should be legalized everywhere?
Does it matter to you?
Should they legalize it here in Oklahoma?

THE BEST BIRTHDAY FREEBIES...

Posted 3/8/2010 6:24:00 AM
There's plenty of free food, free stuff and great deals for adults and kids on their special days, though, like senior discounts at restaurants, you may have to ask for them wherever you go.

I'm  not saying you should pretend it's your birthday to take advantage of these deals, but if it really is your birthday, here are some ways to celebrate for free or on the cheap.

* Unless you're a vegetarian or allergic to beef, you can't go wrong with a free steak dinner at Black Angus for your birthday. The deal is good for the two weeks before and the two weeks after your birthday. It is for dine-in orders only, and you'll have to show identification. You can use the deal at any U.S. Black Angus or Cattle Company Steakhouse location.

Age limit: 16 or older.

"DWTS" cast revealed...pretty interesting group

Posted 3/2/2010 7:03:00 AM
A mom of eight, an outspoken NFL wide receiver and a former "Beverly Hills" bad girl are among the stars joining the ballroom for the new season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Kate Gosselin, Cincinnati Bengals' #85 WR Chad Ochocinco and Shannen Doherty were among the stars announced as a part of the "DWTS" cast, which was revealed during Monday's "The Bachelor" finale.

Also heading to compete in the cha cha and the jive are men's figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek, ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews and Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger.

"All My Children" star Aiden Turner is also part of the fold as is funnylady Niecy Nash.

"Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka was also revealed as a castmember for Season 10.

And, as previously revealed on AccessHollywood.com, former "Baywatch" babe Pamela Anderson and moon walker Buzz Aldrin were also confirmed as part of the cast.

The professional dancers the ...

'Bachelor' Ends with Shocker as Jake Picks Vienna
Why? That's all I can say.

Bachelor Jake Pavelka shocked fans of the show by choosing to propose to "bad girl" Vienna Girardi, rather than fan favorite Tenley Molzahn.

Vienna, the bottle blonde who angered other contestants and embraced the reality show cliché "I'm not here to make friends," tearfully agreed to marry the commercial pilot on the verdant island of St. Lucia, the setting for the two-hour finale.

The conclusion didn't come without some misdirection from ABC. The episode began with each woman meeting Jake's family, and the naturally sweet Tenley won over Jake's extended family, even sharing tearful moments and hugs with both of Jake's parents. Vienna, arriving a day later, put off Jake's parents and sisters-in-law at an awkward lunch, where she chalked up her bad history with female competitors to her "brutal honesty." Only after a less-disastrous ...

Dating Tips: 5 Things You Don't Need to Have in Common

If you were to take an in-depth look at some of the couples who've successfully weathered every relationship storm, you'd be shocked to learn how little they might (superficially) have in common.

After reading this...I hope you feel relieved. I sure did!
I used to think Kevin and I would never work because we don't like the same type of movies!!! He's Sci-fi and fantasy....I'm horror and chick flicks!

Below is a list of differences that, unlike basic manners, don't have to be deal-breakers.

#1. Music Tastes
If you're cut from a cloth where self-worth is directly tied to taste in music, then this one may be tough. You may wince when you find that your mate du jour has never heard of Aaron Copland. You may want to run away screaming when they lack much ...

Questions to Ask After 'I Will' but Before 'I Do'

Posted 2/18/2010 6:06:00 AM
All over the country on Valentine's Day, men were down on bended knee proposing marriage. They spoke of love and affection and devotion. Few, however, mentioned what really matters: money.

Crass, maybe. But true nonetheless.

When you think about it, couples don't fight over love. They fight over money. They fight because one person didn't balance the checkbook or made a bone-headed investment without consulting the other. They fight because one partner exerts dictatorial control over the money, or because one has secretly amassed thousands of dollars in debt on a credit card, imperiling the couple's finances.

Whether the issues are big or small, money will prove a powerful force impacting your marriage -- sometimes overtly in the form of routine arguments; sometimes quietly as animosities seethe beneath the surface for years, only to explode into a potentially marriage-ending supernova.

What couples don't always grasp is that money is rarely ...

FINALLY! Kevin and I were not been able to agree on any names for our baby boy....until last night!

Our little man will be named Markus Jon Adank.

After my dad and grandfather.

I'll most likely call him "Little Mark"

We are very happy to have it figured out! Now if we could just agree on a nursery pattern! lol.
