Josh Roman Feb. 27, 2010 8:00pm Since our founding, the Signature Symphony has celebrated young musicians from Oklahoma. For this concert, we offer one of the truly bright stars on the classical music scene. Cellist Josh Roman, from Oklahoma City, former principal cellist with the Seattle Symphony, returns home to play the Miklos Rozasa Cello Concerto. Hungarian composer Rozsa came to the U.S. in 1939, escaping Hitler, to find a thriving Hollywood movie music business that welcomed his talents. Also on the program will be the beloved Dei Moldau by Bedrich Smetana. Box Office hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and one hour before each event.
